Davido  might deny the brewing cold war going on between him and Wizkid and even tell everyone who cares to listen that the Pakurumo singer is his ‘brother’ but insider sources say that is far from the truth.

Before Davido bursted into limelight, he and Wizkid were unknown to each other but that soon changed once Davido also became a household name and they both got to meet and struck a chord of friendship until sometime in May when the cordial relationship went sour.

According to an insider who knows the duo well and the source of their no-love lost relationship, Wizkid was chilling at a hotel somewhere on the Island and apparently wasn’t having a great time so he decided to put a call through to his friend, Davido who at the time was hanging out with five other friends of his. The Omo Baba Olowo then instructed his aide to go and pick Wizkid at a hotel behind 1004 building on VI.

In no time, Wizkid had joined Davido and his group of friends at a club in the civic centre where they had some drinks before carrying the party to Movida on Idowu Taylor, VI. While there, Davido ordered some bottles of Hennessey for himself and two other friends who had just joined them and as they drank, Wizkid became tipsy and frail as he had one drink too many on the night.

Immediately, he was carried to Davido’s car parked outside where he allegedly threw up. All this while, Davido was nowhere to be found as he abandoned his colleague and friend.

After a while, the bar tenders produced the bill which was about N500,000 and since Davido had disappeared into thin air and bulking under pressure to pay the bills, Davido’s aide took the bar tenders to Wizkid’s home where he was forced to issue a cheque to cover their unpaid expenses.

This singular act put a strain on their relationship as Wizkid felt let down by Davido. Already, their relationship had been tested following the bitter break-up of Mo’Hits as both artistes had their allegiances divided between Don Jazzy on one hand, and Dbanj on the other.

But what would finally prove to be the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back was when Davido was sending out invitation to guests for the launch of his O.B.O Album and he didn’t send any to Wizkid. And to add salt upon injury, Davido and his crew  reportedly sauntered out on a Wizkid performance to the consternation of many at the NEA couple of weeks back in New York.

With these series of events coupled with Davido’s denial and Wizkid’s obvious silence in the face of all the ‘beef’ rumor, isn’t obvious that all is not well between these two super stars? On Wizkid’s part, could this be the moment when ‘silence is golden?’ Time will tell.

EFCC Arrested Young Man For Money Laundering And Internet Scam (photo)

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Ibadan zonal office today arraigned one David Ayomide Raphael before Justice Joyce Abdulmalik of the Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan, Oyo State, on an eight-count charge of money laundering .

Raphael was arraigned following an anonymous petition alleging that a syndicate of fraudsters who resides at Kola area, Oluyole, Ibadan was into fraudulent activities.

Investigation into the petition by operatives of Commission revealed that members of the syndicate – Davies Ayomide Raphael and two others at large (Oyewole Segun Samuel and Adeyemi Adewumi Segun) were specialized in internet scam through which they defraud innocent people, while using fictitious address to purchase items online such as cars and furniture with fake PayPal.
It was also discovered that the defendant also engages in online dating to defraud unsuspecting victims. One of the counts reads:

The charge reads:

“That you, Davies Ayomide Raphael on the 20th of June 2016, at Ibadan within the jurisdiction of this Federal High Court, did directly take possession of the sum of N235,000.00 (Two Hundred and Thirty Five Thousand Naira) only transferred to you by Adeyemi Adewumi Segun which sum you knew or reasonably ought to have known form part of the proceeds of your unlawful act and thereby committed an offence contrary to Section 15 (2) (d) of the Money Laundering (Prohibition) Act 2011 (As Amended) and punishable under Section 15 (3) of the same Act”.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges preferred against him.
In view of his plea, counsel to the EFCC, Sanusi M. Galadanshi prayed the court for a trial date and urged the court to remand the defendant in prison custody.

However, counsel to the defendant, J. A. Sanusi informed the court of a pending bail application on behalf of his client and prayed the court to allow the defendant remain in the EFCC’s custody pending the hearing of the application.
Justice Abdulmalik granted the prayer and ordered that the defendant be remanded in EFCC’s custody pending hearing of his bail application.

The case is adjourned to February 27, 2018 for hearing of bail application and commencement of trial

A twitter user, Oriaku Okwesilieze who posted the near death experience online, said the plane started having issues 20 minutes after take off.

According to her, the incident which occurred on Tuesday, April 18 was a near death experience for her which she cannot forget in a hurry.

Recall that  recently reported that a Medview airline flight from Lagos to Abuja was suspended midair after a fault was observed on the plane.

A passenger on the flight said passengers suspected the plane, with flight number VL 2102, was faulty before takeoff, but they were assured by the pilot and the crew that all was well.

The passenger went further to claim that few minutes after take-off, the plane had to return to the Lagos Airport due to the problem.

“They want to kill over 100 passengers with their faulty plane,” a passenger, Oladejo Olowu said.

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday, April 18, commended the Ministries of Transport, Power, Works and Housing and the security agencies over the successful completion of work on the runway and re-opening of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

This was disclosed in a statement by Femi Adesina, Buhari’s special adviser on Media and Publicity.

The president also lauded the efforts of Kaduna state government, the contractor, Julius Berger, and others, on the successful completion of the airport project, 24 hours ahead of the time limit.

The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja was shut from the midnight of Tuesday March 7 to the Wednesday March 8 for the purpose of repairing the failed portion of the airport runway.

However, the airport was re open today after a closure for repairs on the runaway which lasted six weeks.

A test flight from Kaduna international airport landed in Abuja on Tuesday April 18.

The Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja runway is complete and will be reopened on April 19.

This means that travelers would no longer forced to travel through the Kaduna airport as it has been recently with the closure of the Abuja airport runway.

The runway, according to the managing director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Engr Saleh Dunoma.

Dunoma said the airport runway is currently being inspected by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA).

Daily Trust quotes him as saying the authority had given the NCAA two days (Sunday and Monday) to inspect it and probably make some observations which would be corrected before the airport reopens on April 19.

Dunoma, who spoke while inspecting the final lap of work, said: “We will be ready by Monday the April 17 but we are leaving the remaining two days for Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), because they have to certify the airport that what we have done is in accordance with their standards.

“If they do that, we will bring in the traffic. But if they do not, we have the opportunity of making corrections with the two days we have saved.”

According to him, the reopening of the airport by April 19 as promised by the federal government is certain.

Chaos as Female Pastor Allegedly Kills Man During Deliverance in Edo

A female pastor has caused quite a stir in an Edo community after allegedly killing a man during a deliverance session.

A man has died while reportedly undergoing deliverance at Hope Deliverance Ministry, Ukwanga Street, Oselu quarters, Edo State.

In a video gone viral on the internet, residents are seen trooping in to catch a glimpse of the dead body.

A member of the church who claimed to have witnessed the deliverance section said that the victim was proving stubborn leading to the pastor pushing him hard to make sure he fell to the ground.

The victim, who was said to be possessed by evil spirit and needed deliverance, reportedly fell, hit his head on a generator set and died.

The body of the victim was later placed in a car inside the church premises.

Sister to the deceased, Osas, claimed that her brother was beaten to death.

She said, “They beat him to death. They removed the cloth that he was putting on before, cleaned him up and wore him another cloth. They said they were taking him to the mortuary and we said no.”

However, pastor of the church, Mrs. Ogundaye Isoke said, “We have been taken care of him (the deceased) without money.

“We save soul. We don’t destroy soul. We don’t kill here; we don’t beat here. If they bring insane people we heal.”

I congratulate our Christian brothers and sisters on the celebration of this year’s Easter.

I rejoice with you on this historic occasion signifying the triumph of good over evil, light over darkness, redemption over condemnation, and hope over despair.

President Buhari in his Easter message enjoins all Nigerians to keep faith in the determination and ability of this administration to change the Nigerian story for the good of all.

The commemoration of this special season in Christianity, is always preceded by fasting, piety, humility, penance and prayers of intercession in the build up to the death of Jesus Christ on Good Friday, an event which reunited man with his Creator.

The message of Easter is filled with themes of love, faith, sacrifice, dedication, commitment, fulfilment of prophecy, hope, expectation and victory, as espoused in the Scriptures and the teachings and lifestyle of Jesus Christ.

As we celebrate yet another Easter, I urge all Nigerians to live peacefully with one another and do their utmost to make Nigeria a beautiful place to reside.

In the almost two years of this administration, we have worked hard to meet the expectations of Nigerians by improving security, especially in the North-East, sustaining the campaign against corruption and have taken steps to revitalize the economy.

A 21-year-old woman has been charged with intent to murder after she stabbed another woman in a row over a parking spot, police say.

Shadivia Keauslatyke Phillips, from Detroit, is facing charges of assault with intent to murder, assault with intent to do great bodily harm and felonious assault after a vicious brawl in the city on Sunday.

Phillips was one of two women arrested after footage of the fight went viral on social media. It is unclear if police will charge another other 22-year-old suspect.

A 30-year-old woman was taken to hospital for stab wounds after the attack and is expected to make a full recovery, according to Click 2 Houston.

She can be seen at the end of the footage pulling up her top to reveal bloody injuries on her chest. 

The video shows the women - one in a black hotpants and top, one in a white top - rolling on the grass in Rouge Park.

At one point the woman in the hotpants wraps her legs around the neck of the woman in the white top.

They are separated by the crowd, but then the woman in the hotpants lifts up her top to reveal a bloody wound under her bra.

She shouts at the other woman but then collapses and is carried away by the crowd.

Phillips was arrested after footage of the brawl went viral on social media. It is unclear if another 22-year-old suspect will also be charged 

Police said the fight started when one group of women was trying to pull into a parking spot, only for a second group of women to rush in and 'steal' the space.

The women then started brawling, police said.  

As well as the woman with a chest wound, another was cut on her arm with what was either a knife or a box cutter, police told Fox 2 Detroit.

'We have an issue out here with how to cope with our problems that we have,' Detroit police commander Aric Tosqui said. 

'People arguing over a parking spot escalating to violence, it's ridiculous that people act that way.'

He also complained about the existence of the footage.

'They're not recording to give video to police, they're recording because they found it to be entertaining,' he said.

The National Bureau of Statistics has said that the average price per litre of kerosene in March went down to N311.56k compared to the month of February which it was sold for N352.42k.NAN reports that the “National Household Kerosene Price Watch (March 2017)’’ in the Consumer Price Index for the month, released in Abuja on Thursday, April 13, indicates, however, that the rate was higher by 39.50 per cent year-on-year.
Taraba, Plateau and Cross River made the list of states with the highest average price per litre of kerosene with N347.22, N340.48 and N399.71 as prices per litre respectively.
The states with the lowest average price per litre of the product during the month were Gombe (N273.81), Zamfara (N271.57) and Oyo(N267.54), the bureau added.“States with the highest average price per gallon were Kebbi N1,376.92, Sokoto N1,350 and Borno N1,338.89. States with the lowest average per litre include Oyo N99.67 and Ebonyi N967.80”, the report added.

MASSOB has described VON DG Osita Okechukwu as a desperate man and an errand boy- The Pro-Biafran group says that since Okechukwu’s appointment as DG of VON, he has taken the issues of Biafra agitation, Nnamdi Kanu’s detention and Biafra agitators as the only way to entertain his masters in APC- Okechukwu had described detained Nnamdi Kanu as a boyThe Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has slammed the Director-General of Voice of Nigeria (VON), Osita Okechukwu, for condemning Biafra and her agitators.In a statement on Thursday, April 13, by its leader, Uchenna Madu, MASSOB described Okechukwu as a desperate man and an errand boy, who has thrown caution to the winds in sabotaging the desire and wish of all Igbo, including his kinsmen, Vanguard reports.According to Madu, since Okechukwu’s appointment as Director-General of VON, he has taken the issues of Biafra agitation, Nnamdi Kanu’s detention and Biafra agitators as the only way to entertain his masters in the All Progressives Congress (APC).
MASSOB blasts VON D-G Ositak Okechukwu for calling Nnamdi Kanu a boyMadu said:“MASSOB sees Osita Okechukwu as a desperate man, who easily sabotages the general interest of his people just to keep his position or appointment by the oppressors of his people.“Has Osita Okechukwu who claimed that Ndigbo are better and comfortable in Buhari’s administration condemned the several killings,harassments, intimidation and genocide by armed Fulani herdsmen against the people of his home state, Enugu?“We remind Osita Okechukwu that his appointment by Buhari as D-G VON is just temporal and irrespective of his errand gallantry for President Buhari, APC will replace him soon with an Hausa-Fulani man.”MASSOB warned that politicians should stop playing politics with the destiny and aspirations of their people, describing it as very dangerous.

However,she exceeded expectations of everyone to see her 18th birthday, which she marked with a meeting with South African President Jacob Zumaon Saturday, March 25.
Ontlametse was known for her bubbly and infectious personality despite the overwhelming challenges she faced. During her meeting with President Zuma, she joked: “I call myself a first lady because I’m the first black child with this disease. Which other black child do you know with this disease?”

Before her first birthday, her nails, hair and skin were already falling off due to the condition.
